Nick sees that you know upfront any and all costs. If they find a new issue, they call with the word of extra cost and if you want them to fix it. No surprises then when you come to pick up your car and make payment. When spending big bucks one needs to feel they can trust.

My "check engine" light came on and I took my car to Northshore for a diagnosis. They found several things that needed help. They explained all of these issues with me and gave me a quote. I appreciated the courtesy and the discription of the details since I know NOTHING about car repairs and am always feeling at the mercy of the mechanics because of that. However, they excelled at finding the cause of the problem and I'm good to go! Nick and his crew are great.

I was happy with the service I got at Northshore Automotive. They did a great job on our car! I highly recommend them, and even still go to them, even though we moved to another city.

BEWARE OF SYSTEM QUOTE CHANGES Received a quote for 150k mile service on my Ford F150 12/29/23. Thought the quote was reasonable as it was roughly $800. Scheduled service on 2/2/24 and agreed to the 150k service and requested an inspection for other issues. Did not know the quote changed to $2200! (that is without the cooling system service of $438+ $127 cooling sys diagnostics) That did not include any repairs for the issues noted from the inspection. ~$750 for spark plug replacement and another ~$750 for transmission fluid change as part of the 150k service? That’s outrageous. When I called to ask why the quote was way higher than the initial quote, I was told that it is because the service is higher for fords and when questioned about the spark plugs, ‘oh those are the required parts and yes they are expensive’. I called 2nd to ask what work had been completed as I was ready to pick it up since it was Friday and was told they may need it until Monday. The person told me he’d call back with the status. Received no status update. When I told my husband, he was pissed and raced over to find out why the changed the quote to >$2k. Got there before they closed. They did not complete the full service and was going to keep the truck until Monday without telling us. Husband told them we’ll cash out with what they did so far at $796. When you get an initial quote via email, there’s a link to the shops portal. If The quote changes you will not see the original quote. Make sure you take a snapshot of the original quote and ask how much the service is to see if the amounts align before you get service. Especially if you’re a woman because for whatever reasons I feel like I was scammed and my husband was incredibly pissed off about it. So disappointed…we’ll never go here again.
